Social Media Work for Let’s Chat EGPA

This page contains a collection of Facebook posts designed to help connect those affected by the disease, EGPA. With the goal of the page being to form a community and inform those that are diagnosed, I brought that goal through designs that reinforced the page’s branding and feel.

Using layering and masking effects in Photoshop, I created thumb-stopping frames that draw the average Facebook scroller’s attention to the graphic itself. Beyond that, I explored different uses of text bubbles to help convey powerful quotes and emotions. I also remained cognizant of national days of observance like Rare Disease Day, as well as informative icon-driven posts that are easier to digest.

Below is a handful of posts from set designed to increase both user engagement, and the page’s overall following.

In the end, being diagnosed with EGPA can feel like learning to speak a new language. My intention with these posts was to help reinforce a community that offers support and education to help you build confidence while living with the disease. Since the EGPA patient population is still relatively un-diagnosed and spread out, using great eye-catching design on a platform like Facebook is a great home to create and keep this community connected.

In addition to a set of organic static Facebook posts, I also created an animated ad to drive in followers. Below, you’ll see both the animated ad, as well a few of my favorite animated GIFs that went along with the above set.

When the animated Facebook ad went live, the page grew from under 300 followers to 9,000+ followers in the span of a few months.
